New Year Resolutions

I like making lists and setting goals. Therefore, writing New Year resolutions has always been a favorite thing to do with each New Year that comes by. This year is no different, except this year I have decided to do something that I’ve wanted to do for a long time—start a blog. Thus, why not combine the two?

To start, here’s my 2013 New Year Resolutions:
-Maintain blog
-Do things that make me happy
-Stay unapologetically true to self

My lists are usually longer, but this year I just want to focus on these three goals, with the primary focus on doing things that makes me happy. It is a little bit open-ended for sure, but that’s what I want this year. No more chasing pavement as Adele put it so elegantly in her song; I’m not going to set goals on the impossible. I’ve tried; I do not work well with illusions. Yet, by following my heart and allowing it to lead me to new places, making attempts at things that I’m unfamiliar with, and trusting my moral compass, I know I’ll be happy—and that’s what I care about this time around. I don’t know where and what I plan to do, but I plan to put my heart, soul, body, and mind into everything I do.

So, with that said, I hope you’ll join me for the random adventures that I’m about to embark and may my randomness motivate you to do the same. Do what makes you happy and stay true to yourself. Best wishes for the New Year!

So much love,
atypical
